More Mosaics

I participated in my fourth, and final, sale of the holiday season this past Saturday. What a relief to have those behind me. I've not done four before (and all within a month!) and it takes so much energy. My hat is off to those of you that do the summer art fair circuit. Wow, now that's work!

As a result of trying to sell my work this month instead of creating it, I don't have anything brand spanking new to show you, but here are some more of the paper mosaic pieces that I finished last month.

This box is 5 1/2" square. The red wall made the colors of the box go funky.
The box is really many beautiful shades of blue/green.

The words on the bingo chips say "Live with all your heart".
This piece is 11" x 14"

This mirror is 14" x 14" and lots of great shades of purple.

The leaf is set on a frame that is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".

The green and blue mirrors above are both 11" x 14". If you look close enough,
the blue mirror has blue buttons on it that I made out of paper clay. I liked how they
helped to balance out the mirror that was offset.

Thanks for looking and have a good week!

I love your mosaics; they're incredibly vibrant and colorful. How did the Kazoo sale go?

Stan,

Yep, got the check and the package was shipped to you the middle of last week. You should have it in a day or two. Actually, I'm a bit surprised it isn't already there. Let me know when you get it.

Joanne,

As I expected, the traffic at the show was slow. And, oddly, the things I've been selling a lot of did not move and items that have been moving slow went. It was a good experience but I'm not sure I'll do it again.

Lorrie, the package arrived today and the Mosaic looks great! I feel a bit better now, the only thing in the mailbox was a Walmart flyer, Shell bill and a temporary AARP card. Not sure how they timed that one right, as it just so happens to be number 50 today. So it was nice to see a package by the front door.

Thanks,

Stan

I have never seen paper mosaics before. These are stunning. I love the one with the bingo chips. Do you have an on line tut or workshop so I can learn how to do this??? I took 2 paste paper book classes with Albie Smith at Art and Soul and am obsessed with paper. xoSusan

Hi Susan,

Given your "heart" theme on your blog, it's no wonder you were drawn to the one with the bingo chips! :) Sorry, no tutorial for this as I just getting into it. The paper thing is dangerous but so much fun! Thanks for looking.
