Finished Mosaics Unveiled!

You're the first to see my new mosaics! They will be available at several upcoming holiday sales and I hope I do well with them. The photos of the pieces small enough to scan have good color and lighting. The pieces that are too large for the scanner have been photographed. Badly, I might add, but you'll get the idea.

I'm a bit in an artistic quandary right now as the painting techniques I prefer are become more free form but the precision required of the mosaics is equally enticing. It's a strange marriage but right now it works. Who knows which direction will predominate? Anybody out there have such disparity in the types of work you're pursuing?

I've got more to show you but this is enough for today...

oooh they look wonderful! I LOVE the box! you should make more of those..i bet they will do well!
on the disparity part...i think maybe it is the right brain fighting with the left brain...your artistic side is wanting huge freedom and is enjoying just doing thoughtles yet very creative things..ie the free form painting. While it is doing that the left brain is also is speaking it's voice and is really thriving on the logical part of creating the mosaics..the puzzle of putting it all together. So realy your mosaics is a fantastic representation of balance! Both sides of your brain are getting fed and getting to express themselves...so i say just roll with it!...
looking forward to seeing more!

I love the combination of free form and precision. Even your non-free-form work has those incredibly vibrant and fun colors, so you've always had a wonderful blending of control and spontaneity.

Lorrie, I have always loved the precision in your work and it really shines in your mosaics. I think the combo of the precision on one hand and your festive use of color on the other is what makes these pieces so wonderful. The box is a great addition and is bound to be a big seller.

Lorrie, not sure what happened to my previous posts, but anyway, great work!! I really like the flower with the pink background. Please let me know if you don't sell at one of your art shows. I would like to buy if possible.

Thanks

The flower mosaic with the pink background (approximately 9" x 12") is still available. It is $45 plus shipping. Thanks for your comments and interest. Let me know if you'd still like it and I'll get it in the mail.

Lorrie, I definetly want to purchase, please let me know how to pay you. I would pick it up, but I don't think I will be in the area anytime soon.

Stone: Are you really Stan? If so, Hi. You can mail me a check for $50 (that should cover postage) with your address on it so I know where to send it. I think you know my address? Thanks, I appreciate it!
